Harada added that they will not be selling classic 'Tekken' characters.Unsurprisingly, fans wanted to learn more about these DLC plans that Harada was alluding to.Over on Twitter, game designer Michael Murray was asked about the DLC coming to the game.Specifically, Twitter user '@ruripyon' sought further clarification from Murray regarding Harada's recent comments about the game's DLC plans.In response to the query, Murray 'special characters' and added that he thinks fans will be excited to learn more about them.
Unidentified listings seem to further hint at another season
Tekken 7 just saw the conclusion of its third season with the release of towering Muay Thai fighter, Fahkumram. Coupled with the Cave of Enlightenment stage, the popular 3D fighting game's latest wave of DLC is all available now, though there could be more on the way.
Yesterday, several unknown listings under Tekken 7's downloadable content section surfaced over on the Steam database. There are five new items shown here, all following Fahkumram and the latest stage.
While this isn't a confirmation that there will be more characters or content, seeing placeholders pop up does make the prospect more plausible.
A little under two weeks ago, Bandai Namco released a trailer recapping Tekken 7's Season 3 content and another to announce the release date of Soul Calibur 6 guest character Haohmaru. A press release was sent out simultaneously, and the company directly stated that 'more awesome content is on the way for both Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6.'
With that being said, it seems that the new Steam listings might be already making way for whatever Bandai Namco was referring to in the press release.
Over the course of its lifespan, Tekken 7 has introduced numerous guest fighters into its cast. Starcolony mission 10. Starting with Street Fighter's Akuma on the launch roster, we went on to see Final Fantasy's Noctis Lucis Caelum, Fatal Fury's Geese Howard, and even Negan from The Walking Dead join the playable roster.

If we see more fighters added, it seems like Bandai Namco could pull guests from virtually anywhere and make them translate over well to Tekken 7. On top of that, there are still numerous legacy characters that have yet to enter the fray, and the company is still up to making brand new contenders as seen with Fahkumram.
With most major gaming events being canceled or postponed at this point in time, it's difficult to say when we might be seeing the next big announcement for Tekken 7. Though E3 2020 will not be taking place, game companies will likely share presentations online in early June when the event was originally scheduled to run to continue on with their E3 reveal plans.
