Once you begin the game you have some of your 3 resources to spend on building up your town as well as developing contacts to learn new units and then train them. The resources you need are Fish, Mushrooms and Fire Ale, each of these is used in different ways and you can grow them yourself in your village. Upgrading them is also a good idea to increase their production levels.
When you start playing there is an introduction quest series, that at the end has a lot of rewards and shows you how to play the game, collect units attack and defend. One of the new features is being able to watch the battles in real time as you play. Here you can see what happens, when you win and lose and what unites you are fighting against, the graphics here are also fun and show the fights in a simple way.
